Levi's

Iconic Brands- Part I

Lately it seems everyone has been making reference to authentic brands. Brands that have legitimate heritage in their industry, brands that have a legacy behind their name and more importantly represent a high standard of quality that each of us wants to be associated with.  It is very refreshing for me to see consumers looking to support and invest in quality products, produced by brands that have a truly authentic heritage, rather than buying the cheap and cheerful products that... Studded Obsession

Trending Fall to Spring.

I have been wanting to share my obsession with studs for a while.  It started slowly last year with spiked stacked bracelets, and I really got into it this fall moving to spiked flats, onto studded military jackets. Moving into spring I have my eye on studded cut offs, clutches, collars, and sandals.  This trend is all about the details, you can go big and bold or keep it simple with small embellishments. Moving into spring I like to keep it a bit lighter/simpler as the fabrics... [Keep Reading]

Sailing In The Abacos

Growing up I was very fortunate to grow up around water and boats.  From infancy till the age of 18, i spent almost every summer weekend on our sailboat which they harbored at the Elbow Marina on Lake Diefenbaker in Saskatchewan.  My family loves to sail, we have so many great memories from those times and when they sold our 34 ft C&C, it was a sad day for everyone. My parents keep their passion for the sport alive by renting boats around the world and sailing to new destinations... [Keep Reading]

Dreaming of Summertime

Lets face it, this dreary overcast spring weather is not what we are looking for. We are all day dreaming of long summer days, bike rides, our feet in the sand and a touch of sun on our skin. I just returned home from 12 amazing days in Bali (blogs to come once I get my photos in order) but I just wanted to share some summer inspiration that I love to look at to get me through these inconsistent spring days. Enjoy ;) Bring it on summertime... Bridget xx   [Keep Reading]

Burton Girls at Baldface

A Trip of a Lifetime

Baldface is an iconic cat boarding operation located north of Nelson, B.C in the heart of the Selkirk mountains.  It is a quick 10-15 minute helicopter ride to the base lodge, which is surrounded by 32,000 acres of rideable terrain accessed only by cats. It truly the most unbelievable natural terrain that I have ever rode. It is very clear to me why it attracts so many professional filmers and riders. It is also host to Red Bull’s Ultra Natural which is an all mountain snowboard... [Keep Reading]

KPOW

Fortress Mountain Cat Skiing

Last month we spent a day cat boarding at KPOW at Fortress Mountain. This is Calgary’s closest cat skiing operation, only 1 hour west of the city. If you talk with any Calgary natives they will have glory stories of their early riding days at Fortress Mountain when it was open as an alpine resort back in the day.  For now Fortress is only running cat skiing 4 days a week to ensure clients get the best conditions possible.  Because it was once an alpine resort many of the... First Day In The Backcountry

Earn Your Turns

The lure of untouched POW runs has been bringing skiers and snowboarders into the backcountry for years. But it has definitely been gaining popularity lately; with sales of backcountry equipment on the rise and Rogers pass reporting an increase of 124% in permits since 2009.  I took my avy course back in January and had my very first day in the backcountry a few weeks ago! Burton makes a women’s split board called the Anti Social in a 150 and I was eager to try it out! I set it... [Keep Reading]

Snowboarding Lately

The past few months have been extremely busy.  It is one of the most hectic times of year as a rep because you are busy servicing, organizing events and selling in products for next winter.  It is actually my favorite time of year! I truly love the busy showing schedule, tradeshows, sales meetings, and all the events, but I apologize for the lack of blogging because of it all. So I thought I would condense the past 2 months in 1 blog to share some of my latest snowboard highlights!... [Keep Reading]
