Orange Izakaya : Best Of...Everything

Fri, 02/10/2012

Let me start by saying, everything about Orange Izakaya is great.  That is a bold statement but they live up to it and then some.  Upon walking into the spacious and open setting, which also includes a patio we were greeted instantly.  We sat at an open table, which there were plenty of and our server happily took our drink order.  It was domestic beer night, that was the first awesome thing to happen.  Then we opened the menu, that was the second awesome thing; as it was packed full of “Fusion” items ranging from Bulgogi, and Teriyaki dishes, to a full range of sushi rolls, as well as Ton Katsu which is what my 4-year old buddy Ava went with.  She said it was really good.

We got an order of Edamame beans to start and they were on the table in what seemed like moments,  they were also awesome but that goes without saying at this point.  When our actual dishes arrived which consisted of one Bulgogi, a Kalbi and the aforementioned Ton Katsu, all served with rice and greens.

This too came much quicker than I originally thought it would and was 100% on point.  Fresh, filling and absolutely delicious there is really nothing more I could have asked of the entire meal, which didn’t have anything over $13 in it.  Again our server was amazingly diligent and made sure that our whole experience was excellent.

I think excellent is a severe understatement for the time we spent at Orange, and I promise you I will go back…Probably tonight, assuming I can get a hold of Matty.
