Waiting On Winter
A Look at 3 Upcoming Snowboard Films
Tue, 09/04/2012
Hello Rooster World! I am pumped to be writing and sharing my point of view for this awesome site! After an amazing summer back in Saskatchewan I'm preparing to get back on the grind of school in Kelowna. With the start of every new school year comes a season of shredding right around the corner! Before I left P.A. I bought a Capita Ultra Fear and I'm itching to get it on the slopes. So I thought seeing snow isn't going to hit the ground just yet with this 30 degrees heat, I would share three snowboard films I'm looking forward to the most. Snowboard films always get me so hyped for a season of shredding. When I purchase a film I watch it for days, over and over. I love the thought of getting a group of your friends together and traveling, filming and just having fun all winter and producing a documentary that bundles everything to showcase the awesome season you had.
Videograss has been a staple in snowboard scene for the last 4 years. They are following up 2011's "Shoot The Moon" with this years flick "The Dark Side". Being a company solely based in the production side of things they seem to always come up with the best films each year and this year looks no different. With LNP, Joe Sexton and Chris Grenier to name a few. The Dark Side should be killer.
Isenseven, just like Videograss, is another amazing film based snowboard company. Coming out of Germany Isenseven always has awesome shots. Very stylistic using dollys and jibs to get super smooth shots. "Fools Gold" should be sick

Burton's new flick "13" looks dope. There will be a premier of the film at the Paramount Theatre downtown on October 11th so keep an eye out for that as well!
