New York truly is the city that never sleeps! The first day Tabatha and I arrived in NYC, courtesy of G-shock and a contest we won at Spareparts, we roamed the city's sidewalks till our feet bled! Taking in all the sites, shopping, and good eats, we literally walked about 300 blocks in total before we considered ourselves "New Yorkers!" After becoming familiar with most of Manhattan, Tabatha and I booked ourselves 2 tickets to the broadway musical "Chicago" the following day; this was the most amazing musical we both have ever seen! The actors in the show are extremely talented and it blew us away. 

Afterwards we stopped at a small bar just down the street where we met one of the actors from Chicago, so of course we got his autograph on our programs! That night we took a cab down to the West Village which is more "true newyork", here we found streets and buildings that reminded us both of sex and the city, and tons of glorious pubs and night clubs that went until 4 am (but were good girls, so we packed it in closer to 2) if you can believe that! So after two full days of shopping and galavanting, and seeing all the high lights new York has to offer, like the empire state building, statue of liberty, and central park, it was time for the big finale, and the reason why we made it to new York... The 30th annual G-Shock party!!

We met with 2 g-shock reps, frank and Carlos, who were our escorts for the evening! Tabatha and I didn't know who was performing at the gshock party until minutes before we arrived! Once we heard that it was Eminem, we literally had a permanent smile on our faces! Once we arrived, we attended g-shocks press conference where we learned about all the new models and series that were being released this fall, some included a blue tooth capability to your cellphone, with email and call alerts, a new burton edition watch, and more!

They did demonstrations of g-shocks shock resistant capabilities, and even had all the members of their riding team present! Once the press conference was done, it was time to get the party started! The venue, manhattan centre, was beautiful with high ceilings and g-Shock decor spread all around! There was about 3000 people that attended the invite only party, including some celebrities such as busta rhymes, ludacris, and John leguizamo.

It was also an open bar event, which led to a long enjoyable night of galavanting, even after the party was over! Frank and Carlos were great company, and took us to a couple local pubs where "Jameson" the Irish whiskey got the best of us! Tabatha and I were sad to leave the next day, we could've used a couple extra days just to see a little more outside of manhattan, and definitely could've done a lot more shopping! But overall, this was one of the most amazing trips we both have ever been on, and we'll definitely be heading back one day!
