Music Monday : Beach House

Mon, 05/14/2012

The Baltimore duo who go by the name "Beach House have a sound that is unmistakable and totally entrancing to say the least. They have been producing hits since 2006 and since then have been riding a steady train of success that shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Their sound is something that is one-of-a-kind and is easy to listen to at any time of day (like right now). They combine soft notes with melodies that you will have a hard time getting out of your head. The lyrical content is deep and brooding and when all the elements of their tracks come together, it is certainly something special.

The band recently sat down with Pitchfork Magazine and discussed how in the years since they started they have never once thought about changing their sound, and in today's age of artists and groups evolving to fit the popular mold that is something that should be commended. Tomorrow's release of the "Bloom" will mark their fourth studio album and it you take the time to listen to a number of the songs they have produced it's easy to see that they really have remained true to their word, and continued making the same captivating type of music for the better part of a decade now.

The first song from Bloom is Myth and was released a few months ago as a foreshadow of the album to come. Have a listen as, from what we know it provides a glimpse into what we can expect from the entire collection of tracks. This thought provoking track will take you on a ride and could be just the thing you need to get moving on Monday morning and keep the positive vibes going all week long.

Enjoy the track and the start of you week everyone.
