Summertime is a season for blockbusters, not just in the theater itself but in all forms of the media. From the music industry to the movies and the arts there is no shortage of news and teasers to help people stay excited. The movie industry floods us with trailers and the best ones keep us hanging on from now until the Fall and Winter when some of these features are set to be released.
One of the movies that appears to be on the right track in terms of hype and attention is one from the mind of George V. Higgins and has been adapted for the screen by Andrew Dominik who was also a part of The Assassination Of Jesse James. From the looks of the first trailer it appears that this will be another in a long list of darker adaptations like the recent hit "The Social Network" and the forthcoming "50 Shades of Grey" which both took audiences down a path that they likely didn't expect.
With huge names attached to this project like Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini, and one of my all-time favorites Ray Liotta it is highly unlikely that this thing will disappoint. The storyline so far shows us that Pitt is a gun for hire who gets involved in some serious business regarding Liotta and enlists the help of Gandolfini, which again has serious potential for success.
I don't need to tell you too much more here as the banger names who created this film can say more than I ever could. So why don't I just let you sit back and enjoy as we all board this ride which will likely take us on a trip that will last right up until it's October release.
