Apparently I enjoy sharing with The Rooster readers all of the amazing people in my life. This next fellow I have known since catching butterflys was the hiphappenin' circa '95. Grayson is that guy that always leaves you wondering 'whats up his sleeve next!?!?'  Growing up at Blackstrap with Grayson gave me the opportunity to see him shine in many aspects of his life. He is an extremely talented athlete (Quarter back of the football team, AA hockey player, provincial medalist in PoleVault, amazing snowboarder, to list off a few). As well, he was involved with our drama program behind the scenes for many years. In his grade 12 year joined in on the action on center stage, blowing everyone away with his witty but dark character, the Phantom. What ever he puts his mind to, and works hard for, he always finds success.

Grayson and his closest friends are a bunch of goofballs, always interested in a good laugh. Throughout high school they would find themselves taking every opportunity to turn any assignment into a film project. The group of boys filmed a clip of a friend running off our dock into Blackstrap and it soon became their visual trade mark at the beginning and end of every film they made. This visual eventually turned into there production company name, Running Off Dock Productions -RODP. Everyone around Grayson started to see what he was most passionate about; creating, filming, writing, and producing short films. This is where Grayson shines the brightest. He has an eye, the eye that makes you taste every drop, makes you feel every breeze, has you laughing till it hurts, and leaves you feeling connected to every scene. He is creative as heck!  After highschool he attended a film school in Vancouver in 2007/2008 and has lived on the coast ever since. Forever creating.

I asked Grayson to create a promo video of his favorite works, so I could share it with The Rooster! There is an indescribable feeling you get when you let the world know about someone you're just so proud of! I hope you enjoy the video, expect big things from this guy!!
