Turn a canning jar into a travel mug...

Why didn't we think of this earlier! It makes perfect sense really, jars are easy to clean, can hold extremely hot liquids, come in all different sizes, and are rather cheap to buy. Sure if you drop it, it might break, but replacing a jar is rather inexpensive, and the glass is recyclable!

Cuppow is a genius little lid that replaces the lid of a canning jar that allows you to drink from it - much like a sippy cup... for adults. Cuppow was created by two Americans who wanted to provide an eco-friendly alternative to disposable cups and over-built and expensive travel mugs. Good news for you, it works great, it's super durable, it's made in the USA, it's phthalate and BPA free, it's recyclable, and it doesn't break the bank!

The Cuppow comes in two different options,  Regular Wide and Regular with Straw-Tek! Both fit any wide or regular mouth mason jar, I just have the Regular Wide which can still fit a small straw.

The only place in Canada that I know of so far that sells them is the Streaming Cafe in Kelowna, which is where I got mine! For under $10, this might be your best investment. I can now enjoy iced coffee all day long in my oversized mason jar!! Now I just need to knit together some kind of jar cozy.
