What Is The Recycling Process?

SWEEP It To Sarcan

Thu, 08/23/2012

For those of you who live in Saskatchewan, you know what SARCAN is, and for those of you who don't it is a recycling cooperative that helps people with disabilities find meaningful employment that makes a real difference. For those of you from Regina, you know what Look Matters is, and for those of you who don't it is a creative services agency the likes of which is actually a strong enough force to steal our own Matty O'Connell away from us, which is saying something.

Recently the two came together to produce a piece that showcases what SARCAN does when you take your old electronics into their locations to be disposed of. This is happening a lot more lately and will likely continue as the electronics industry continues to push out new, exciting and innovative products on a far more rapid basis than ever before. The reason I am choosing to show this video to readers of The Rooster, is because we all use electronics often, and it feels important that we do what we can to help our environment get better for future generations and at the same time, make sure that the companies producing the devices we love so much can do so in a responsible manner.

Take a look at the video below and make sure that when you are replacing your electronic devices, from computers to TVs and everything in between you do the right thing and SWEEP It To Sarcan. Not only will this ensure that the production of our devices and products is as green as possible, it also cements more work for Matty, and who doesn't want that!
