Pharrell Talks Creativity

Thu, 05/10/2012

Pharrell Williams, the creative mind behind N.E.R.D. The Neptunes, and Billionaire Boys Club (just to name a few projects) is one of the most unique and forward thinking individuals on the planet. The way he looks at things and the details he takes note of is something that not every person has the ability to do and because of this he has become a part of pop culture that is extremely influential and most definitely trend-setting.

His music and the product he creates are helping to define our generation and have set the tone for some major shifts in our culture and the way we look at life, and the world. Pharrell recently sat down with online magazine Hypebeast to discuss a few things, like what makes him who he is, and where he draws his inspiration from. It is a fairly interesting watch as we get to see a man who is responsible for so many different ground-breaking things, more or less talk about taking away ideas from the most simple things in life.

Some of these things include the basic mindset that a child has with regards to toys and things that amuse us when we are young to the different mentality that exists in Asian culture, and he even discusses how something as seemingly mundane as a quick lunch in NYC can completely define you as a person, and speak volumes about your thought process.

Enjoy the watch, and the sunshine (fingers crossed it sticks around!)
