Mobile Beats Hit Kelowna Streets
BC Rapper Packs his Street Cred in his Suitcase
Thu, 09/27/2012
It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Kelowna. You look around to see beach volleyball, beautiful women, causal strolls through the park…and suddenly some chilled beats and freestyles appear out of a suitcase, pulled behind a skateboard, right when you were ready to nod your head.
Welcome to the mobile studio of Jesse Esson, AKA Shameless. Whether he is rocking the block on a late night in Gastown or skating the streets of his hometown Kelowna, you will see him with a mic in his hand attached to his suitcased amp, the flowbot.
The freedoms of his freestyles are always with him on the street. That was just how I found, well, heard him, on a recent trip through the Okanagan. We ended up going for a few beers and shared the mic as we hit up the whole of Kelowna.
If you see Jesse cruising with his flowbot near you, make sure you stop and listen to what he has to say.
Even the grandparents walking by knew to nod their head.
After all, real flow is universal.
Check out a quick vid I made of what Jesse likes to call his ‘Parts Check Street Boutique’:
