LB5Q happened last night, and the campus hallways are looking a bit sparse today. It's crazy how this fundraising BBQ has established itself over time as the number one choice in western Canada where students can get sh*tfaced in a field and go home with someone new. It is consistently NUTS!

In my (many) years of attending this event, I've seen it change from a band focus, with DJ's still being an underground scene indoors at the Manhattan Ballroom, to a full blown DJ's only light show. I've seen them bring in big names, and I've seen them keep it local.  It always seems to be the same weather every year too, forcing everyone to bring out toques and jackets for the first time. AND it is always, as a general rule, sober-free.

This year they kept it simple and kept it as all it needs to be. Music, Burgers, and Beer. The sounds were supplied by a bunch of local guys who did a great job and there were enough places to get food and drinks that the lines never got too long. Myself and some of the Spareparts crew showed up for a bit to take the party in and snap some shots.
