Facebook's New iOS
Thu, 08/23/2012
Facebook was originally a trail-blazer in the world of mobile Apps, as they were among the first to "fully-integrate" their website's features into a pocket-sized version for users to enjoy. Over the last 12-18 months however the tech giant has come under fire due to the fact that their iOS and other mobile Apps have become a tad slow and have a tendency to get crazy rather easily, and that might be putting it nicely.
So recently Facebook and their mobile team have broken the application down to it's simplest form and decided to work on building the next generation of mobile Facebook from the ground up. Moving away from HTML5 which many people believe is at the root of the problem, the new version of the App which is available for download right now on The App Store is more streamline and seems to move quicker when scrolling through news feeds and loading photos.
There have also been improvements made to the iPad version of the iOS design, seeing Timeline make it's presence stronger than ever before, which will hopefully help some users to warm up to the idea of the new template which to this point has been met with some harsh feelings,
