My Life As A Skateboarder Junkie Inmate Pastor

Wed, 06/13/2012

Christian Hosoi is one of the most iconic figures in all of action sports, with his name on countless amounts of product, videos, brands and images there isn't much in the world of skateboarding he hasn't impacted. And now his life and times have been fully chronicled in a book that was released yesterday entitled "Hosoi : My Life As A Skateboarder Junkie Inmate Pastor" which discusses his life and career to the fullest extent yet.

With beginnings that stem from the famous Del Rey Skate Park which his father managed, where Christian became a student of legends like Tony Alava, Shogo Kubo, and Stacy Peralta. Moving to his career as a pro skater which began when he was just 14-years old, to his life on the competitive circuit and subsequent drug abuse. Culminating in Hosoi finding God while incarcerated as a federal inmate, this book covers it all; the good, the bad, and the ugly.

It is no doubt going to be an incredible read and while certainly be picked up by yours truly in the now popular e-book format ASAP. So I invite you to take a look at the trailer for the book, which is a pretty cool thing in itself and seek out the publication however you would like.

Many, if not all of the brands we know and love today are a direct result of the skateboard world and the industry it spawned. And the skateboard world has Christian Hosoi to thank for much of it's success. So get a hold of this book and enjoy learning about the roots of a cultural phenomenon, the likes of which we may never see again.
