I saw a some images of this a few weeks back when a friend in the industry posted some less than telling shots to an Instagram feed. It was hard to believe that what was being seen in the images was real, but when it comes to the world of Red Bull it has been proven time and time again that nothing is impossible and that the more outlandish it seems the more likely it is that they will attempt it.

When you think of crowded city streets and incredibly high levels of driving, things like Ken Block and his Gymkhana series tend to pop into our heads and imaginations. While I am a huge fan of Block and everything he has done behind the wheel I have to say that this trumps everything he has done to this point. The consequences are high and the speeds are ludicrous in terms of where and how they are being accomplished. Renown F1 driver and featured Red Bull RB7 pilot David Coulthard is behind the wheel of this rolling rocket and in the video he makes his way from New York to New Jersey and several places in between.

The video is part of a promotional series targeted at the proposed market for the 2013 Grand Prix of America which is set to take place in The Big Apple itself in right around one year's time. If this video is any indication of what we can expect to see when and if it does happen, the event will be a must see and a once in a lifetime spectacle as not just Coulthard, but a host of the world's most skilled drivers will thunder through the streets of the Empire State.
