The Future Of Action Sports Is In Good Hands

Wed, 03/07/2012

With the internet being the medium of choice for new up and coming athletes to gain exposure and notoriety, one thing has become increasingly apparent; the next generation is one to watch.  Only a short time ago, if someone in their early teens came along and was pushing the envelope we all took notice. Over the last few years however, it is not uncommon to see kids as young as 8 or 9 doing things that to this point may have seemed impossible.

Spinning a 900 on a skateboard used to be reserved for journeyman professionals and those who had honed their craft for years; now it seems like an entry level trick.  Hitting massive park jumps and consequential rails on skis or a snowboard used to come with seasons of training; this has now become the starting point for a pro career.

The 'A Network' and their YouTube feature 'Dose' have put together a small video showcasing just a few of the new wave of shredders who will be topping podiums and ending videos for years to come.

Have a look and if you are a parent or youngster who wants to see success in these sports, I have one piece of advice, start 'em young.
